Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Amasi (sour milk) or more
- 1/4 cup sugar or less
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Mix dry ingredients.
3. Combine Amasi, sugar, melted butter, and egg.
4. Add wet mixture to dry ingredients.
5. Mix until dough forms.
6. Knead gently.
7. Pat into circle, 1-inch thick.
8. Cut into wedges.
9. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden.
Note: Amasi is fermented milk . If unavailable, substitute with buttermilk or plain yogurt.
