Ingredients:
6 large sea scallops
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
Season the Scallops: Pat scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cook the Scallops: In a large skillet, melt 1 tbsp of butter over medium-high heat. Add scallops; sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in lemon juice and stir to combine.
Combine and Serve: Return scallops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them to reheat gently. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
