Ganduje receives 14 Kano lawmakers, urges cooperation with Gov Yusuf

The National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has urged members of the Kano State House of Assembly to support and collaborate with Governor Abba Yusuf, regardless of their party affiliations.

Ganduje gave the charge when 14 lawmakers from his state paid him a solidarity visit at the national headquarters of the ruling party in Abuja on Monday evening.

The development is coming eight days after Yusuf approved the appointment of 15 heads of government agencies and 10 Special Advisers to assist him in the smooth and efficient running of the state.

Since he assumed office after his inauguration, the state governor has courted controversy and made the headlines over his persistent demolition of edifices and revocation of lands approved by his predecessor.

However, Ganduje charged the delegation of visiting Kano lawmakers to look beyond the destruction of his legacy by a vengeful successor and give his government all the needed support for the sake of peace.

He said, “The state governor is of a different political party but I want you to know that the whole essence of politics is the development of the people. I urge you, irrespective of the different political parties to cooperate with the state governor for the development of Kano state
