A MOTHER'S SACRIFICE. 😭😭😭😭😭

PART 1

I started dating my boyfriend when I was just 14 and my boyfriend was 18.My mother warned me to call off whatever it was that we had between us , my dad did not only torture me, he withdrew me from school but I didn't mind, I still sneaked out to see him whenever there was nobody at home.My boyfriend was staying with his uncle, very close to our place. My father and my two brothers together with some police officers went there and arrested him, but he was later bailed and his uncle asked him not to come to his house any longer.He had to go back to his parents place in another state where they lived.

Few months after he left I discovered I was pregnant at 15, my dad chased me out of the house and asked me never to return.The only means of communication then to reach anyone was through writing letters which would take weeks, even months to deliver. My mom gave me few of my things through the window without my fathers knowledge and even though I was begging her on my knees telling her I had no where else to go, she kept throwing things at me telling me to get out of her sight.

"You know you have no other family elsewhere and you went and opened your legs for that riff-raff" she thundered.

"Mother please forgive me , it was a mistake' I begged on my knees.

She picked up a pestle and attempted throwing it at me, I got up and ran out of the compound as quickly as possible .Neighbors even gathered at our house begging my parents to allow me stay but they turned deaf ears.

After few hours of hanging around, I went and picked up my clothes that were littered on the ground and tied them together in one of my wrappers and carried it on my head while tears flowed freely down my cheeks.As soon as I stepped out of the compound I heard someone call my name from afar. I turned back it was one of my neighbors, aunty Agnes.

"Ajanigo" She called

"Yes ma" I answered with my head down.

She squeezed something into my palm and hurried back in. I opened my palm to see what it was, it was some money. I prayed for her immediately and left to God knows where, wasn't even sure where I was going.

After a long suffering walk I remembered my boyfriend had an uncle he was staying with. I went straight to the uncles place and knocked on the door.

"Ajanigo?" he called "Why are you going looking like this? Are you ok??" he queried.

"Sir it's a long story." I said

"Come in! Come in!!" he asked

"Please sit and make yourself comfortable.What is it? Is everything ok with you ?" he questioned.

"No sir. Sir please, your nephew Desmond, do you know where he is?" I asked to be sure of his whereabouts.

"Is anything the problem?" he queried

"I..i..." i stuttered.

"Go on" he ordered.

"I'm pregnant, for him and my parents have chased me out" I managed to say.

"What?!" he exclaimed

"You children of nowadays. As small as you are you're already pregnant for someone you're not sure if he's going to marry you? " he thundered

"It was a mistake" I said sobbing

"Mistake? Well, the only thing I can do for you is to give you the parents address and also help you with transport fare." he said

I went down on my knees.

"Thank you sir"

He went into his room, returned with some money and handed it over to me. I took it and left for the park. I boarded a vehicle to the state where they resided and I reached there around 4 am the next morning. I waited in the park for some hours till when the day was bright enough and left for the address the uncle wrote for me.I finally got there and went into the compound, then a woman approached me.

"Yes?" she questioned.

"Good day ma" I greeted

"Good day.Who are you?' she questioned again.

I dropped the clothes I was carrying on my head.

"My name is Ajanigo ma. I'm.. I'm looking for Desmond ma" I responded

"From where ?" she queried.

"Ermmm..From where he was staying with his uncle ma." I replied

"Ok?" she queried again.

"Ermmm..Desmond and I are in a relationship ma so...so... I'm few weeks pregnant ma, for him." I said, frightened.

"What?!" she exclaimed.

"God forbid! So because you heard he has joined the army, you have suddenly shown up with pregnancy claims right? Oya carry this thing you just dropped and leave this place. How old are you that you will just be going about opening your legs? Imagine this small brat" She thundered.

I was already wailing uncontrollably, didn't even know where to go from there if they ended up chasing me out. I was still lost in my thoughts when a man in his 60's walked into the compound, he looked so much like Desmond.

"What is happening here? " he queried

"My husband, this little girl walked into the compound claiming that Desmond impregnated her" she said

"What? From where??" he questioned

"From where he was staying with his uncle sir. We were in a relationship before he left there for this place sir" I said amidst tears

"But, Desmond joined the military few weeks ago and won't be coming back anytime soon " he said looking at me.

"I have no where else to go sir. My parents chased me out and asked me never to return" I said

"But how did you find your way here?" he questioned

"His uncle gave me the address" I replied.

"Well you can't stay here. Take your things and get out of my house" his wife thundered.

"Your house? Did you come with any house when I married you?" The man asked her

"My child, are you sure Desmond is responsible for the pregnancy?" he asked

"Yes sir" I said nodding.

"Pick up your things" he said, then he turned to his wife "Take her to the third room and let her stay there till Desmond returns." he ordered, then turned back and went in.

"Thank you sir," I said happily.

" You, you think you can just appear from nowhere with pregnancy claims? You will suffer" she threatened.
